As a Mustang owner you have probably seen one of these black and whites in your review mirror a time or two. With their power of authority and screaming sirens they are intimidating enough already, but this one got a whole lot scarier. If this one pulls up behind you don’t even try to run because that’s not your average 4.6 under the hood, it’s a Coyote 5.0.

Thankfully this is not an official highway patrol car but a project known as the Ford Crown Victoria Coyote by a crazed hot rodder named Austin. Austin ever the sadist, decided to take every gearhead’s worst nightmare and make it even more hair raising. He started with a former Texas Highway Patrol Ford Crown Victoria and dropped in the 5.0 Coyote engine out of a 2012 Mustang GT.

The 5.0 is bolted to a T45 five-speed manual transmission pulled from a 2000 GT. The transmission runs to a Ford 8.8 posi trac rear with 3.27s. The 5.0 Coyote made its debut in 2011, as the high tech replacement for the 4.6L modular engine.

The Crown Victoria Coyote is for sale on Craigslist with an asking price of $9,000. She is rust free but does have minor exterior hail damage and could use a paint job. She could easily make a killer sleeper car. This might be one of the most affordable ways to get a hold of a Coyote engine or a Coyote swapped car for that matter.
