Lucas Oil Slick Mist Tire & Trim Shine Is Your Car’s Crowning To

Lucas Oil is well known for making some of the best oil and gas additives on the market, but did you know that they have an excellent lineup of car care products as well?

If you’re like us, you want your ride to look its best at all times. The cleanliness of your wheels and tires is the finishing touch on car wash day and skipping this last detail can make all your hard work seem a bit blah.

Lucas Oil Slick Mist Tire & Trim Shine is just the ticket after your ride’s sudsy bath. It’s water-based and great for rubber, plastic, and vinyl.  It penetrates and conditions surfaces and protects against tire browning. It can also be used as a light detail spray for painted surfaces and chrome as well.

We dig this product and like its versatility and ease of use. Here are a couple of detailing tricks when dressing your tires and trim.

  • Always dress and tires before you wipe down the car after a wash. Although Slickmist is formulated to resist sling, there will always be a bit of overspray as you apply the product. If you dress soft surfaces after you dry the car, you might have to make another pass to clean up any overspray.  Slick Mist before you dry means you wipe down the car only once.
  • After you dress your wheels and tires, be sure and treat inner fender liners as well. Most modern cars have black plastic wheel well liners that collect a lot of crud and often can gray out. Knock any surface dirt from your wheel wells with water as you wash and then dress the fender liners along with the wheels and tires. The liners will be super clean and have a pitch-black sheen to them.  Your friends will think spent an entire weekend cleaning your wheel wells.

Lucas Oil also offers a Slick Mist Detail Kit that includes Tire and Trim Shine as well as Speed Wax and Interior products as well. Go here for more details and pricing.
