Our friends over at AmericanMuscle have teamed up with the gang at Modern Muscle Design to put together one insane Mustang – a Mustang that’s been featured at none other than the most famous enthusiast gathering of them all, the SEMA Show.
Project MMD was put together for the 2013 edition of SEMA to appear in the Forgestar booth, and includes a laundry list of Mustang modifications designed to take it to another level. But it’s not just a show car – the MMD team drives it around town and to local shows.
The best part? AmericanMuscle is planning to give this car away! That’s right – you could be the lucky owner of this incredible machine. The car was initially conceived as a testbed for some of AmericanMuscle’s products, but when the opportunity came about to showcase the car at SEMA, the MMD team commissioned the AM group to handle the performance end, while they overhauled the appearance of the car to give it a one-of-a-kind look.
The car began life as an Oxford White 2014 GT Premium Mustang, then received a laundry list of MMD styling upgrades – a GT350-style spoiler and hood scoop, GT350-style window covers, headlight splitters, retro mirrors, side scoops, Matte Black roof decal, and even a sweet set of Forgestar’s F14 Monoblock Matte Black 20-inch staggered wheels shod in Nitto Invo tires.
Don’t think they forgot about tuning up the stellar Coyote engine platform for more performance, because they didn’t. Also on board is one of Vortech‘s Black Coyote supercharger V-3 supercharger systems, a Snow Performance Stage 3 Boost Cooler system, Ford Racing Boss 302 H-pipe/side exhaust, and a Driveshaft Shop carbon-fiber driveshaft. There’s even an Air Lift Digital Suspension Kit to drop it into the weeds for the killer show stance.
Final power numbers totaled 589 rear-wheel horses and 480 foot-pounds of torque on a Dynojet 224xLC chassis dyno.
“This car really is the full package. It has Show and Go with the Vortech V3 and Airlift Suspension setup. I’ve personally had the chance to take this car for a spin, definitely make sure you’re 10-2 when you go wide open! Good luck to all contestants. This beautiful 2014 GT is going to look great in someone’s garage,” says AmericanMuscle’s Dan Bailer.
