The Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association, or SEMA show in Las Vegas is an annual gathering of aftermarket parts makers. But the OEM’s are also there in force, pushing their own performance parts for the cars we all love. This includes Chrysler and its Mopar parts department. As we already told you, Mopar will be bringing a Challenger SRT8 ACR to the SEMA show. Now here is what else Mopar will be showcasing next week.
At the top of the list for us are two non-cars, the Ram SRT 392 and Dodge Durango Tow Hook concept. But that isn’t all that Mopar will have at SEMA; not even close.
First up, the Ram SRT 392 “Quick Silver.” As you should already expect by the name, the SRT 392 pickup packs the new 6.4 liter HEMI V8 as the Challenger and Charger SRT8 models.
With 470 horsepower under the hood, huge upgraded Bremob brakes are needed to bring this beast to a stop. Flashy red rims, a deep aluminum cowl hood, and huge 22-inch wheels, this Ram pickup as all the trappings of previous performance trucks from Chrysler.
Then there is the Durango “Tow Hook” concept, which is all show, no go…but that’s OK, because we really dig the muscle car-themed orange and black paintjob. Other upgrades come in the form of 22-inch wheels, a lowered suspension, and interior enhancements that would make a factory Durango green with envy.
Among the other entrants from Mopar at SEMA 2011; the SF6 Chryslerr 300, and a pair of Fiat 500’s. We know…a Mopar Fiat 500? Sounds weird…but it doesn’t look too shabby either. So we’ll reserve judgement until attending the show ourselves next week.
