New C10 Trailing-Arm Suspensions From KP Components

If you’re building a ’63 through ’72 Chevy pickup, then you want to include the best parts while assembling a great cruiser. If you have a great cruiser but want to make it a better handling monster, then you need to check out these new trailing arm suspensions form KP Components (a Chris Alston Chassisworks brand).

These new suspensions are a simple design, effective at improving your truck’s handling, and tough enough to handle almost anything you can throw at it. The heavy-duty crossmember and boxed trailing arms provide controlled and predictable handling characteristics without wheel hop when you are experimenting with traction capabilities under hard acceleration.

Whether looking for an airbag (left) or air spring (right) suspension, the well thought out kits are sure to make your hauler handle those twisty roads.

The suspensions offer three spring configurations that are available to best suit your hot hauler. If your truck is performance-focused, you could opt for VariShock coilovers. If you’re looking for a bit more stylistic appearance, you can select airbags or even air-spring shocks for the best of both worlds.

C10 rear suspension

Like the air suspensions, the coilover kits Include bolt-on front crossmember, frame brackets and axle mounts, tubular steel trailing arms, factory-valved coilover shocks, and Panhard bar locater. Optional Watts link for 10- or 12-bolt rearends, and single- or double-adjustable coilover shocks are available.

All three suspensions are available with a Panhard bar or Watts link locater for use with GM 10- or 12-bolt, or Ford 9-inch rearends. With the exception of trimming for the recessed notch integrated into the frame brackets, installation is an extremely simple bolt-on process. Trailing arm crossmember and frame rail brackets are positioned using existing chassis features and secured with included Grade-8 mounting hardware. Pricing, options, additional images, and instructions for system and components are available online.
