Official Release:
Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT8
With priding themselves in being the first to market with performance exhaust systems for today’s latest applications, Billy Boat Performance Exhaust never dreamed that they would be building a system for one of the most recognized names of the pony-car era: the Dodge Challenger – after all, the car was 16 years old when Billy Boat Performance Exhaust first opened. However, after a 35-year hiatus, Dodge has returned the two-door rear-wheel-drive coupe to its lineup, and, in true form, Billy Boat Performance Exhaust has designed systems for both the R/T and SRT-8 models.
Manufactured using only the highest-grade T304 stainless-steel material available, B&B is the only aftermarket system to use 3” tubing throughout the entire system. Each system is mandrel-bent using CNC benders to ensure a precision fit on every system. Along with the larger 3” tubing, B&B has designed a muffler using a proprietary PRT (Purge Resonance Technology) for increased exhaust flow for added 17 horsepower and 21 foot-pounds of torque. Another benefit of the PRT is a nice, deep musclecar bark at idle, acceleration and cruising speeds while all but eliminating the in-cabin, low frequency resonation. To finish the system off, Billy Boat Performance Exhaust gives you the choice of either retaining the factory tips or using its optional quad squoval tips.
