If you’re cruising around in a ’67 through ’72 C10 truck, here’s something that will make you take notice. Art Morrison Enterprises (AME) has just released a new GT Sport chassis for these truck owners. The 1967-72 Chevy C10 pickup to the ever-growing roster of vehicles that have received a bolt-in GT Sport chassis option. We’re told AME’s engineering team employed 3D digital scanning technology as well as other computer applications to ensure a perfect fit and develop an integrated chassis package that improves handling, ride, and stance.

The new chassis is made with rigid 2 x 6 main framerails of .180-inch thick material. The chassis uses FEA-optimized braces to ensure a stiff platform and it also features 3-inch passageways for exhaust routing. This keeps the pipes up and out of sight. This new chassis is designed to provide 5- to 6-inches of ground clearance with nothing protruding below. If fact, the bottom of the oil pan is flush with the frame.

AME’s GT Sport chassis for the C10 comes with a 9-inch rearend supported by a triangulated four-bar suspension and coilover shocks. It can be ordered with a multi-link I.R.S. or an air spring suspension. Upfront, you’ll find Wilwood forged-aluminum spindles, TIG-welded tubular-steel control arms, and an adjustable sway bar. A new rack-and-pinion steering is coupled with a billet aluminum steering arm and provides near-zero bump steer. A 62 ½-inch front tread width facilitates the proper scrub geometry while allowing for the use of dished wheels.
