Vintage Air is the leading manufacturer of complete high-performance air conditioning systems designed for muscle cars, hot rods, and street rods. Recently, the cooling company announced the release of its new Gen IV SureFit air conditioning system for the 1973-74 Nova. This new system is available as either a complete kit or an evaporator kit and features the proven Gen IV amenities. Those include variable blower speed and infinite air-blend adjustments for a “just right” temperature year round.
As part of Vintage Air’s commitment to expanding its bolt-in SureFit applications, the new 1973-74 Nova SureFit kit increases the year model coverage of its Nova line. Unlike some other kits, the SureFit System features include fenderwell routing of refrigerant and heater lines to keep the engine bay looking cleaner, raised in-dash evaporator mounting for additional room in the foot well, new condenser mounts with integral drier bracket for easy installation, and a controls-conversion kit that converts the OE mechanical-lever control panel to electronic operation.
The new 1973-74 Nova Gen-IV SureFit air conditioning system is available as a complete kit for factory A/C cars (part number 965077) and non-A/C cars (part number 961077), or as an evaporator kit for those installations that do not require the under-hood components. Evaporator kits are also available for factory A/C cars (part number 565072) and non-A/C cars (part number 561072). Options for this new Gen-IV kit include Vintage Air’s new bolt-in electronic control panel assembly (Part Number 473046) and dash panel adapter plate (Part Number 473045) for three-knob Proline controls.
Vintage Air systems are manufactured in the USA, include parts necessary for a complete installation, and are backed by a three-year warranty.
