The NMCA racing series is winding down as they enter their next to last points race of the year in Milan. There are a lot of tight battles between classes and Milan might be the final factor for a few of them. Stay tuned to Street Legal TV all weekend for updates from Michigan.

The track is being prepped for testing to begin at 3pm and 1st Round of Qualifying to take place at 7pm tonight.

We are here at Milan Dragway in Michigan for the 4th Annual JE Pistons NMCA Muscle Car Nationals and the sun is shinning and the sky is cloudless. The fall weather has arrived and cold air is rolling in, we are going to be looking for some serious power to be made this weekend.
FRIDAY IN THE PITS

LRT Chassi's Rob White is on the grounds today with his 1967 Camaro built by himself. Rob is based out of Streamwood, Il and is using a self built 632 cubic inch Nitrous Assisted engine to get the job done in NPS. Rob's car wass driven by Mike Radnis last year and ran a best of 7.48, with Rob behind the wheel this year the team has managed a 7.55. Rob is looking to blast back into the 7.40 range and bring their 1967 Camaro into the winners circle.

Pro Street racer Jeff Lutz arrived today with his Twin Turbo powered Pontiac. Running a best of 6.22 at 232 the team is looking for an event win here in Milan. I stopped by to see the team working on the tune up for test and tune and will be seeing what the team has for 1st round of qualyfing.

Michigan Based driver Rob Golobo brought his Gilsbach built Camaro to compete in Super Street this weekend. The team looks to go to the top with their Moran built Twin Turbo engine.

Xtreme Street Record Holder Jamie Stanton brought his beatiful 2000 Camaro here this weekend to try and make yet another final round. The team has been in the past 6 finals winning 2 of them this year. The team is using a 525 ci engine built by BES. The Camaro was built by Pentagon Performance and been a best of 7.91.
TEST and TUNE Updates

Joe Dunne ran a 6.20 at 224 in his second testing attempt. Look for this team to be at the top of the field later tonight.

Chris Rini backed up Joe Dunne's incredible 6.20 with a 6.24. This should be a great night session of qualifying with Team Jegs also running in the 6.20 range.

Don Culbertson stood it on the bumper in his first test and tune run, the car seemed to be damageless as it returned for another hit that went much smoother.

A few NPS cars made some hits, Mitch Mika run a stellar 7.43 at over 190 mph, Jim Jarret Made a clean hit, as did Andy Vogt and Danny Shemwell.

Jason Lee driving Chris Singletons Mustang stood the car up down during its first attempt but came back to run a clean 8.26.
Qualifying Round 1 Notes

Troy Coughlin Leads in Pro Street with a 6.40 at 221 and is also the only pro street car in the 6 second range. Joe Dunne Follows with a 7.01 and rounding up the top 3 is Rick Blaisdell with a 7.87

In Super Street it was a much tighter field with Frank Meshaw leading with a 6.75 followed by Rob Golobo's 6.79 and in third is Jim Robbins with a 6.81. Tony Nesbitt and Bill Lutz are not far off pace either.

In NPS the Naturally Aspirated machine of Chuck Demory put down the number, the team ran an incredible 7.29 to take the number 1 spot. Following is Jim Jarret with a 7.34 and Jeff Colletta 7.37.

In Xtreme Street New York based Jamie Stanton went straight to the top with a 7.96 at about 176 mph. Following closely wass Jason Lee with an 8.01 and Scott Guiler with an 8.09.

In a very tight field Skip Baskin rose to the top with an 8.51 in Pro Stock. Following closely was Gregg Delaney with an 8.55 and Don Bowles with an 8.57. Ben Mens rounded off the field win an 8.76.

In Street Radial Jay Canella lead the pack in his 1962 Chevy II with an 8.70. Brad Schehr took the number 2 spot win an 8.74 and Scott Carter finished 3rd with an 8.81.

With about a tenth on the field Jeremy Gillian leads the pack with a 10.08 in his 1991 Mustang. Coming in right behind him is Mike Winters with a 10.17 and David Hill with a 10.25.
