On November 27, 2010 a cancer benefit will be held for “kustoms” legend Bo Huff in Colton, CA. Bo is suffering from Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma and is in treatment at Huntsman Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. While he does have medical insurance in place it is not sufficient to cover all costs of treatment. The purpose of this benefit is to help make up the difference!
As only hot rodders can do it, this benefit event will be like no other. It’s a full out “kustom” car show featuring the coolest hot rods, great bands, vendors of all kind, pinups, a raffle, and everything in between. The show will be held rain or shine and all proceeds will go directly to Bo for his treatment expenses. Bands include Danny Dean & The Dragerton Beat, The Chop Tops, Hot Rod Trio, and more. Vendors may still register for the event at huffarama.net. Bo’s friends consider him generous to a fault, and this benefit is a testament to the impact Bo has left on others.
Bo Huff is an icon in the world of custom car building. He started modifying cars as a teenager in the 50’s and fell in love the lowered cars that his older friends had. He developed an eye for tasteful body mods and started to suggest to others what they could do for their cars, and they loved it! Bo attended a body and fender school, and then the rest was history from there. After modifying countless cars in Utah he moved to Orange County California and opened his own shop. His clients rides would be nosed, decked, shaved, etc. and he was a master at putting on metal flake paint jobs. Bo opened a second shop in Arkansas, but eventually made his way home to Utah. He now builds cars at customer requests.
