Omaha, NB, dealer, Baxter Chrysler Jeep Dodge, recently listed the HPP Superbird tribute car, but the car failed to sell, stalling at a below-reserve bid of $65,100. The B5 Blue Pearl Coat Challenger was converted by Heide Performance Products, from Madison Heights, MI, and has been touring the country to gain exposure.

Stops have included the 2010 LX & Beyond Nationals, the Mopar Nationals and the Woodward Dream Cruise. A supercharged, 655-hp 6.1-Liter V8 SRT8 HEMI engine runs the show, coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. Rolling on HPP-exclusive 20-inch wheels and special Red Letter Nitto 555 tires, this Superbird tribute car comes with all the features of the original.

Up front, the unique composite nose cone features movable headlight doors, internal radiator ducting, brake cooling duct-work, stamped steel mesh grille and integrated turn signal and driving lights. Out back, the three-piece composite wing stands proud to Superbird tradition and, in its modern interpretation, is adjustable for attack angle. The functionality of the wing as confirmed by the reinforcing brackets installed inside the quarter panels.

The extensive list of additional changes to the car include a new stamped aluminum hood with functional air extractor vents, custom flared rocker moldings, stamped steel door louvers, HPP badging and Superbird graphics.
