OPTIMA Batteries, a leading brand from Clarios, LLC, has unveiled its latest innovation, the all-new OPTIMA ORANGETOP QH6 lithium battery. This new battery pushes the limits of lithium technology, offering power and resilience for a wide variety of applications in vehicles. ORANGETOP QH6 delivers a range of features that place it apart from standard H6 batteries. This includes more cold cranking power than standard H6 batteries, so it provides reliable starting in freezing temperatures. It also endures extreme temperatures, from a chilling -20 degrees F to a scorching 167 degrees F. This strength comes from it’s design and is proven in tough motorsport environments, like the Baja desert and Pikes Peak Hill Climb.
The QH6 also has better performance and robustness compared with typical lithium batteries. The QH6 is lighter compared to competitor lithium batteries, and it weighs only 19.8 pounds. It has a quad terminal design and includes a large 45 Ah capacity combined with an impressive 880 amps of cranking power. OPTIMA has also included its signature technologies in the new battery. For example, when the battery’s charge is low, OPTIMA CPR automatically disconnects the battery prior to being drained, thus reserving enough power to start the vehicle. And get this, Bluetooth monitoring via the OPTIMA Batteries app allows you to activate OPTIMA CPR.
Furthermore, the integrated Bluetooth app connects to the advanced Battery Management System (BMS) of the battery that can send real-time data on battery health and performance, giving convenient monitoring and maintenance to the user. The longevity of the QH6 is highly enhanced by the BMS. It continuously monitors and balances the cells in the battery. This also ensures performance at optimum levels.
The OPTIMA ORANGETOP will be available in spring 2025.
