There is no doubt that wagons are cool once again. Only this time, they’re favored for their hauling of a different kind. In a world overrun by SUVs, CUVs, and other UVs of every ilk, a cool-looking long-roof ride is just the perfect machine to stand out from the crowd. And now, thanks to Vicari Auction, you could own this rare, big-block powered, 1966 Impala station wagon to pour on the miles of smiles.
Vicari is holding its 27th annual Collector Car Auction at the Mississippi Coliseum & Convention Center in Biloxi, Mississippi on October 4-7, 2023. The auction is held at the same time as the always-fun Cruisin’ the Coast car event, known as America’s Largest Block Party. Cruisin’ the Coast is a week-long, family-friendly series of events including cruise-ins, swap meets, and live bands that take place in 12 cities located along Highway 90 in three Mississippi Gulf Coast counties.
During the Vicari auction, many vintage and late-model vehicles will be offered to new owners, including this 1966 Chevrolet Impala station wagon. Powered by the classic 427 cubic-inch engine, this wagon underwent a complete frame-off restoration and comes with the original Protect-O-Plate, factory brochure, and an original Chevrolet catalog.
The exterior is covered in Willow Green with a Brown interior in fully restored condition. The stars of the show inside are the three pedals and a four-speed shifter peeking up through the floorboard accompanying a full array of gauges for your viewing.
This vintage ride was intended to haul more than just the softball team when it was first ordered at the dealership. Now, you can do your own hauling in it if you are the top bidder at the upcoming Vicari Auction in Biloxi, Mississippi. Check out the Vicari Auction web page and be sure to register for the chance to win this car. The Vicari team will be accepting bids in person or you can bid online from home. Either way, you’ll want to be ready when this rare Chevy wagon crosses the auction block!
