Removing the twist and torque method with a nut tightening means only stretching in one direction. Most importantly though, main caps allow for main cap alignment with ease.

Starting with a foundation of custom grade 4150 steel rated aircraft-quality, the studs are heat-treated to 180,000 psi. The studs are then placed between two rotary grinding wheels to ensure perfect alignment and straightness, a process known as centerless grinding. The Studs are rolled thread, instead of traditionally cut, reducing fatigue and possible stripping.
