Delta Force Tuning’s Weapon-X C.O.P. high performance ignition coils for Modular Fords have been on the market for a while but this year at PRI they also had a new addition on display – a plug-and-play coil booster that connects in-line to the ignition harness and conditions the signal sent to the plug. The new modules will work with any ignition using compatible connectors.
Also on display was the Data Scout wireless data logging tool. It’s probably as easy as data logging gets – plug the module into the OBDII port under the dash, fire up your laptop and start the Data Scout software, and the two communicate wirelessly via Bluetooth. You’ll get streaming real-time data, instant trouble code diagnosis, the ability to store and compare multiple data logs, and a built-in dyno and dragstrip simulator.
Delta Force also recently introduced a new cold air kit for 2005-2009 Mustang GT’s, made from lightweight 4-inch mandrel-bent aluminum. The throttle body coupler is custom-molded to make a smooth round-to-oval transition, and the kit includes a MAF tube insert that allows use without a custom tune, or it can be removed for even greater performance if you’re set up to reflash your ECU with the correct transfer function provided by Delta Force.
