With the glorious return of the muscle cars wars of late involving the Mustang and the new age Camaro and Challenger stealing the headlines and garnering all of the attention in the enthusiast community, many of the older performance cars have been lost in the proverbial aftermarket mix. But for Kooks Custom Headers here at PRI, one of their fresh new showcase products isn’t an exhaust setup for a fifth-gen Camaro, but rather an F-body. This new kit is a full 3″ dual exhaust setup made of 304 Stainless Steel and is a direction application for 1999-2002 year model Camaros and Firebirds.

This dual exhaust kit utilizes Kooks own 3″ race mufflers and exits through a set of polished 4″ slash cut tips. Kooks is offering these in two variations with an open off-road version for race-intended applications and another with 3″ off-road catalytic converters. In order to make this kit fit under the rather tricky F-body undercarriage, one must swap to an aftermarket BMR driveshaft loop and panhard bar. As any car guy can attest, the sound is half the fun and Kooks General Manager George Rumore describes these as “just nasty.”
