The Ford FE, or Ford-Edsel, was an extremely popular racing engine through the 1960s. It was used in everything from NHRA to NASCAR competition and came in a wide variety of bore and stroke combinations. It is still a popular (though getting rare) engine choice for old school hot rodders and nostalgia racers. One company that continues to support the FE is T&D Machine.
T&D Machine is most well known for their shaft mount rocker systems, and that is exactly what they have designed for the FE. A shaft mount rocker is a hardcore race product that can also be used for the street. It reduces side-to-side deflection by anchoring the rocker on the sides, instead of a single bolt or stud in the middle of the rocker. Furthermore, the rockers are tied together with a stand assembly.
These shaft mounts are T&D’s direct replacement versions. These aluminum rockers feature a 1.76:1 ratio with a full roller bearing. They are designed for stock FE or Edelbrock counterparts. To further reduce rocker deflection, the end of the rocker shafts are captured.
