Not everything to come out of this year’s PRI has to do with parts, but the news can be just as exciting, as evidenced by this breaking story: Flowmaster has now become an official NASCAR Performance partner. What this means for the Santa Rosa, California-based company is that it will be participating in NASCAR’s contingency program.

It seems like a perfect match, given that fans of NASCAR are more likely to do their own repairs and maintenance (including exhaust) and like to do them far more often than non-fans, according to studies done by Scarborough, a consumer trend research group.
