For more than four decades now, the folks located in the down under of Australia, known as Davies Craig have provided automotive enthusiasts with virtually every cooling solution imaginable. From electric water pumps to fan clutches and everything in between, this once small Australian company grew to become one of the world’s largest cooling component suppliers in that span of four decades.
“We’re a forty-year-old Australian-based manufacturer who started out making fans,” Josh Backes of 3PConnect told us. “This year, we’ve brought some new products to the table under the Davies Craig name that we’re excited about. It’s been a few years now since we’ve developed anything new for fans, so we wanted to take a step back and revisit this side of cooling.”
“We developed our brushless-fans in a 12-inch size, and a 16-inch size offering,” Backes said. “The brushless motors are all contained and sealed, and you can expect to get 10,000 hours of life out of them–which is a big benefit of a brushless fan. With a traditional brush-fan, you’re capped at about 3,000 hours of life.”
In regards to the fan switches, Backes said that Davies Craig has designed a more premium switch, which is designed to install under the hood [although they do still offer the older style].
