Prince Of Monaco Auctions Off ’73 Camaro With Only 27,185 On clock

Many people dream of amassing a large automotive collection of rare, unique and collectable vehicles, but as we found out from Autoblog, there is one collector, or his son rather, that’s actually parting with a number of his valuable cars. Why? Well, we’re not quite sure but the cars being offered by the Prince of Monaco, Prince Albert II at a late July auction are sure to not be missed.

While there are several Citroëns, a handful of ancient Renaults and a couple Peugeots being sold at the special July 26th auction, the gems of the 38 car-collection are of a more familiar variety for us Chevy fans.

She may only be a six-banger, but the Camaro export car is quite the rare car.

Among the vehicles being offered is a 1973 Camaro with just 27,185 miles on it. But it’s not the low mileage that makes this car special, it’s the fact that it is a rare export model delivered new to Belgium and designated by the car’s General Motors Continental Antwerpen plaque.

Powered by a 250ci inline-six backed by an automatic transmission, the car only makes about 140hp, but is said to be in excellent original condition. According to the Artcurial auction information for the car, the exterior paint is still nearly flawless and the interior doesn’t show any wear. Although it’s a rare export model, the car is believed to bring in no more than $15,000.

Prince Albert II is also offering a 1943 GMC CCKW 3A1 6×6 plateau bâché, a six-wheel drive ex-military vehicle. Completely restored, the military truck built for America’s WWII efforts offers a partial wood body, 4.4L engine and plenty of awe-inspiring touches only found in these rare military trucks.

The GMC joins a collection of three other military vehicles all of the Dodge variety.

Other notable domestic vehicles in the collection include one of only a few 1964 Dodge Dart GT Coupes imported into France, a 1930 Ford A Roadster used to transport athletes for the French athletic competition, a 1931 Plymouth cabriolet, a 1931 Chrysler six cylinder limousine, and a 1930 Ford AF coach.
