No matter how many car shows, cruises or events you go to, certain vehicles will always stick out in your mind. For us, the 1957 Chevy pickup truck named Quick Silver is such a vehicle.

When we saw the custom truck at last year’s SEMA Show, we were absolutely smitten, so much so that we included it in the Rod Authority’s Top 5 SEMA Show vehicles article. But we weren’t the only ones that noticed the gorgeous Chevy. In fact, we just found out from Examiner.com that Quick Silver just took home the coveted Championship Cup at the 2014 Northeast Rod & Custom Show. How about them apples?

Built by Hot Rod Garage of Sand Springs, OK, Quick Silver is the pride and joy of owner Alan Beers, and with looks like these, we can see why.

Setting the truck apart from the rest is the stunning amount of customization that went into this gorgeous Chevy. Not only has every body panel been reshaped, chopped or retouched in some way, so too has every single piece of the custom interior. Even things like the front windshield and rear taillights were customized specifically in Quick Silver style.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 540ci Chevy powerplant fitted with Crower Intake stacks and custom headers from Halloway Race Cars. Tied to a Gearstar 4L60E automatic transmission, this engine setup gives Quick Silver a stout 650hp rating.

The rest, well, can only be explained through seeing the truck for yourself. And trust us, even photos don’t do this truck justice.

Although we were first formally introduced to the truck at SEMA last year, it took the 2013 show circuit by storm prior to the Las Vegas event, being named to the Great 8 of the Detroit Autorama Ridler contenders and even picking up the title of 2013 Goodguys Truck of the Year. As it turns out, a lot of people fell in love with Quick Silver.

Now thanks to its appearance at the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area Northeast Rod & Custom Show, Quick Silver can add another award to its bragging list and we couldn’t be happier for it. After all, this special Chevy will always be tops in our book!
