Ringbrothers’ ’70 Camaro Inspires Forgeline’s RB3C Series

Forgeline claims that the inspiration behind their current 3-piece, RB3C wheel series comes from this trick 1st-Gen Camaro from Ringbrothers of Spring Green, Wisconsin.

The custom ’70 pony hides a massaged LS7 under the hood that puts out well over 650 horses while chasing a Tremec TKO-600 5-speed. Known as “Diversion,” the Camaro made its debut at SEMA 2011. It features a full-custom chassis, a custom fabricated body with extended rocker panels covered with BASF Mineral Gray paint and custom billet bezels, taillights and hood and door hinges.

The Ringbrothers’ car comes to a stop with a set of Baer brakes and exhales through a set of Flowmaster 44 Series mufflers. Adding to the Camaro’s stout appearance, however, are the 18 x 11- and 19 x 13-inch, custom painted RB3C Center Lock wheels mounted via Forgeline’s Center Lock Conversion kit and a custom nut from Ringbrothers.

To show off the motoring heritage behind Forgeline’s 3-piece design, the “RB” designation in the RB3C series actually stands for “Ringbrothers,” whose humble beginnings were initiated when they started off building custom cars years ago with thrown out lawnmower engines found in dumps.

Since that time, motoring brothers Mike and Jim Ring have gone on to win the Goodguys’ “Street Machine Of The Year” award for two years in a row. They’ve made rodding and performance history for sure, and a large part of their car building mission is to “maintain stock appearances” while “upgrading performance with contemporary parts and products to create works of art.”

The Ringbrothers’ ’70 Camaro is definitely inline with Mike and Jim Ring’s artistic vision, and Forgeline, with their RB3C series, is happy to celebrate that vision with them!
