Watson’s StreetWorks’ micro LED third brake light was awarded the NSRA’s Safety Product of the Year award. This is the second NSRA safety award for the company in as many years.

To say that you have a lock on safety is a pretty bold statement to make, and while Watson’s StreetWorks wouldn’t say it out loud, their actions prove that the manufacturer does place safety first.

The National Street Rod Association (NSRA) hosts a special voluntary safety program for their members and other street rod enthusiasts, giving car owners the opportunity to have their vehicle inspected for safety as often as they want. The inspection is completely free and the association encourages every member to have an annual inspection done. Part of the NSRA’s safety awareness program is an annual safety award for the best safety product of the year.

The NSRA’s safety product of the year award is highly coveted by aftermarket automotive parts manufacturers because it is a professional award for a serious subject that affects all drivers. Watson’s StreetWorks has won the award for the past two consecutive years.

In 2014, Watson’s LED headlights won the award. Not resting on their laurels, Watson’s StreetWorks duplicated the feat in 2015 with their breakthrough micro third brake light.  “We are proud of the awards we have won these last couple of years and display them in our showroom,” said company owner Harvey Richardson. “We’ve got some ideas in the pipeline that just might bring home more hardware next year.”
