There’s just some stuff you can’t find. You’ve been to every local swap meet. You’ve posted want ads on Craigslist. You’ve scoured eBay for months. Heck, you’ve even asked around the forums. Turns out nobody has a decent-enough original piece and the aftermarket companies just don’t see the potential sales volume to justify its production. Yeah, we know how it feels. It sucks.

Thankfully, the guys and gals over at Original Parts Group are classic car enthusiasts. In fact, we think it’s part of the employment application. (“Check Here For Chevy, Ford or Mopar”); and because they’re all car nuts like you, they know how it feels to run into a dead end every now and again. That’s why they excel at having everything you can imagine for Chevelles, El Caminos, GTOs, 4-4-2s, GSX’s and every other bad ass A-Body – as well as Monte Carlos, Rivieras and Cadillacs.

New to their A-Body lineup is the hard-to-find convertible boot trim. This large bit ran the outer ridge of the quarter and Dutchman panel and acted as the anchor for the plastic clips that the vinyl boot snapped to. Until OPG came along, convertible fans had to source out original parts that either had dulled or distorted from years of exposure to the elements. Now, well…you don’t have to put up with old junk.
