Classic Industries is celebrating the release of their Tri-5 accessories catalog at this year’s SEMA tradeshow, and to commemorate that occasion, the manufacturer is displaying Baseball hero Reggie Jackson’s personal Tri-5 in their booth.
The Jackson owned 1957 One-Fifty utility sedan is a period perfect representation of the Chevrolet fleet utility vehicle of the 50’s. The One-Fifty sedans were not advertised or marketed as much as the other GM vehicles of the era and as a result, fewer One-fifties were sold compared to the Two-Tens or Bel Airs. The V8 One-Fifty sedans, a stripped down, no frills car are popular with hot rod enthusiasts due to lower curb weight and lower prices.
In 1957, the One-Fifties sported a 283 cid small-block V8. The 1957 150 had side trim similar to the 1955’s Bel-Air trim.
Reggie Jackson’s One-Fifty features the original 283 cid “Super Turbo-Fire” OHV V8 with dual 4 barrel carburetors and a 3 speed Synchromesh manual transmission.
Features of Reggie’s 1957 Chevrolet One-Fifty Sedan:

Jackson took every precaution to make sure that the Chevy was period correct in every sense of the word. From Factory OE style steering wheel to OE style wheels, everything about this One-Fifty is like it was when it rolled off the factory floor. Take some time and enjoy these photos of a car from a simpler time and think about driving this one down to the local burger barn for a root beer float:
