Goodguys Rod & Custom Association was on hand and displaying quite a few vehicles throughout the show, including their 1971 HEMI Challenger 2012 Missile Giveaway car and the Kindig-it built 2013 giveaway 1932 Sedan.
We sat down with John Drummond and Andrew Ebel the Marketing Directors from Goodguys to discuss the upcoming 2013 show year and why it’s such an important year for the Goodguys crew. The coming show season will be Goodguys 30-year Anniversary so there are many reasons for celebration. Founded in 1983 by Gary Meadors to help grow and build the hot rod and street rod communities, Goodguys continues to be the leading national show circuit for the hot rod enthusiast.
Goodguys is known for building high-end giveaway cars that rival even some of the entrants from their top events.
Goodguys is much more than just a show circuit, with over 70,000 members we offer the full hot rod experience, which includes our Goodguys Gazette, entry for giveaway cars, and other ‘members only’ deals – Goodguys is the place to be! -Andrew Ebel
However, Andrew Ebel told us “Goodguys is much more than just a show circuit, with over 70,000 members we offer an all encompassing hot rod experience, which includes our Goodguys Gazette, entry for giveaway cars, and other ‘members only’ deals – Goodguys is truly the place to be!” And we couldn’t agree more, as we looked around their SEMA booth and got an up close and personal look at what’s to come.
The new Goodguys Digital Gazette is now available as a free download and there are rumors circulating of a “Members Mobile App” along with other exclusive programs to enhance the social experience for new Goodguys members. Looking to the future, Goodguys will also be announcing in the coming year, the All-American Sunday event dates featuring American late-models, customs, and of course – the famed Autocross events.
So stay tuned as we get the exclusive scoop for the 2013 30-year anniversary of Goodguys and all of the exciting news to follow. We’ll see you at the next show!
