While some folks may take their steering wheels for granted, GT Performance is helping car enthusiasts restore an important part of both a vehicle’s aesthetics and functionality. Whether you are trying to recreate a vintage look, restore your classic car with a period correct wheel, or add a new wheel to your high performance vehicle, GT Performance has your needs met.
In speaking with GT Performance President, Tom Poteet, he mentioned, “We have a few new wheels for this year, particularly a wheel targeted for the retro Camaros and Novas around the 1970s, and a few for the Vega and Corvette market. We currently have the GT Pro Touring, a banjo type, and racing wheels among others, and will be releasing a few more wood versions in April. We came out with the ‘tough wheel’ for Mopar stuff, and a few more very popular Ford and GM wheels for the 1960s vehicles available in a leather wrap.”
PoteetĀ also said that, “While we don’t currently have many applications for the steering columns of the European and Japanese cars, we are still expanding and will be covering them in the future. Coming from a long background in the industry, we decided to take a fresh approach with GT Performance, and are focusing on quality and styling.”
If you are in the market for a new steering wheel, or would like to just dress up the cockpit of your ride, be sure to give GT Performance a look!
