Your new Mustang has arrived in the driveway, and you want to outfit it with a set of drag wheels, but had trouble finding wheels that will fit over the factory brakes. Fear no more — Baer Brake Systems has just the solution for you.
The company’s Deep Stage street/strip front and rear brake systems are now available for the S550 for both front and rear ends of the car. The front system uses the S4 four-piston caliper and an 11.625-inch two-piece directional slotted/drilled/zinc-plated rotor, comes with 10 mm to 3AN conversion fittings, and will bolt directly to the factory front spindle with no modifications.
The rear kit is virtually the same — a S4 caliper and 11.625-inch rotor are used, and it bolts directly to the S550 rear knuckle, allowing the use of a traditional 15-inch rear wheel for vast tire choices at the dragstrip. One thing to note — there is no park-brake provision with these brakes.
“For years we’ve had the EradiSpeed line of direct-replacement brake rotors; this year we’ve focused on the 2015 Mustang,” says Baer’s Rick Elam. “We have the two-piece Eradispeed Plus rotors available for cars with the factory Brembo brakes, and we’re also working on a rotor for the rear of the car.”

These rotor systems are a direct replacement for the factory pieces in terms of dimensions, and are built from a two-piece design using high-grade stainless steel hardware. They are so simple to install, even a caveman can do it. No bleeding of the brakes is required.
The company also has the Eradispeed+1 system on display for the 2010-16 Ford F-150 pickup truck; this system relocates the factory front calipers outward using a special bolt-on bracket, which helps to provide more leverage to the brake caliper. It uses a unique purpose-cast slotted/drilled/zinc plated rotor, and is directionally-vaned to assist in cooling after hard stops. A rear system is on the way for these trucks.
