SEMA 2015: Derale Performance Adds More Underhood Billet Bling

Derale07As Derale Performance‘s Mike Murphy told us, “We’ve been in the cooling industry all our lives,” and that statement is what has kept the company in business for several decades. Its line of performance coolers for engine, trans, power steering, and differential varies from small to a full self-cooled unit that is guaranteed to keep fluid temperatures lower and extend component life.

Derale14But, while many of Derale’s components are often hidden under the car, or in front of the radiator. This year at SEMA, Murphy showed us some new billet bling for under the hood with Derale’s new power steering and coolant overflow reservoirs. Made from billet aluminum, each reservoir contains double O-rings to seal the black cap and keep fluids inside where they belong.

The reservoirs include ORB-style fittings for AN connections to plumb the fluid, and a clamp to mount the reservoir to the radiator support or on the fender apron. The power steering reservoir includes a filter to help filter out contaminants and moisture, helping to keep the fluid clean and effective. The black cap has the Derale Performance logo and is easy to grip to keep the cap in place with a snug fit.

In addition to the new reservoirs, we saw more of what has made Derale famous with its Hyper-Cool stack plate coolers and other fluid coolers and electric fans, providing all the cooling that your fluid systems require. We also got a taste of some of those products installed in the real world on the Tire Fryer Comet that was also displayed in the booth along with the Monrovia Missile, both of which drew a lot of attention.

You can find out more about Derale Performance on its website, but Murphy will tell you when asked to give Derale a call and let them put you into the right cooler for your application.
