The company that Carroll built has been somewhat in transition over the past few months and yet, with all the goings-on, it is not moving far from its roots. Since getting into the post-title conversion business, the company has found a business model that minimizes its own financial stress while enabling it to continue to provide viable products.

At the moment, it is also taking time to try and find out what the market is looking for in future product. The company has posted four possible projects for comment by all. These range from a twin-turbo GT500 conversion that delivers 1000+ RWHP for $100K (plus the cost of the car), to 2011 V6 or GT-based Value Packages that offer handling, braking and appearance upgrades for $9 to $12K, with a long list of additional options.

In the middle, $20K could get you a Ford Racing or Kenne Bell blower on top of your 2011 5.0-liter, with performance upgrades to match. Among the proposed changes, Shelby would include Baer 6-piston brakes, front and rear, a Watts-link rear suspension with additional Eibach components, a one-piece driveshaft, adjustable rear control arms, Goodyear street/race performance tires and a brake cooling package.

Interestingly, each of the model surveys include the question, “Would you like to see this type of product as a Shelby badged vehicle?”

With the recent opening of the Shelby American Motorsports Speed Shop in Las Vegas, the company has a more suitable infrastructure available for one-off conversions. We presume that these post-title conversions could also be done at other authorized Shelby Mod Shops.
