With production of the Shelby GT350 and GT350R models beginning in August of this year, enthusiasts are finally starting to see some of the first models being delivered after having ordered them over sixth months ago.
While this is great news for some, a thread on Mustang6G.com by forum user Voodooo has gathered images of hundreds of Shelby GT350 and GT350R models, that are exposed to the winter elements at Ford’s Flat Rock assembly in Flat Rock, Michigan.
Examining the images further shows us that the lot is filled with a mixture of EcoBoost, Shelby, V6, and GT models. The thread has been speculated that many of the Shelby Models – both the GT350 and GT350R, are merely awaiting their factory stripe options before being shipped to the appropriate dealerships. Many enthusiasts have placed their orders on these vehicles as early as May of this year, and unfortunately have become a bit discouraged due to the long wait. Additionally, many of the future Shelby owners are not pleased with the blue oval allowing their new Shelby models to be exposed to the outside elements while they wait to be transported.
One enthusiast made an attempt to keep the peace by reminding us all that while the Shelby cars are not produced as commonly as the Mustang itself, it is still a mass produced vehicle which travels down the same assembly line. According to another member in the thread, Ford plans to begin shipping the lot of sitting GT350 and GT350R models as early as next Monday, November 30th.
