There is no doubt that the Chrysler Group is an all-American company. Headquartered in the heart of Michigan, it has continued to bring us iconic domestic brands like Dodge and Jeep for generations, with others like Plymouth and AMC are gone but not nearly forgotten. And who can forget the good ‘ole Mopar brand?
Well, while Chrysler may be an American-born corporation, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t continually trying to make it in other international markets. As we found out from Autoblog, Chrysler will actually be announcing its return into the Chinese automotive market later this month and has created special Chrysler 300C and Jeep Wrangler concepts to commemorate the occasion.
It may be sleek and subtle compared to the Jeep, but we'd take this killer looking 300C in a heartbeat
On April 23rd, the Chrysler Group will be at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition to announce their reappearance in the Chinese market for 2012. This is a special occasion as Chrysler tries to expand their number of dealerships and market presence in the country. Last year, Chrysler had about 125 dealerships in the Asian country that covered about 60 percent of the market.
The Chrysler 300C that will be making its way to the Beijing Exhibition is very sleek with an all-black paint scheme and matching black wheels. This stealth look is complimented by a refined front grill featuring raised black embellishments rather than the traditional cross-hatch design. Inside the car is just as luxurious with a two-toned cream and black interior. Created with “Chinese elements in mind,” according to Chrysler, the seat backs of the 300C are imprinted with a special design.
While it is a bit odd seeing American vehicles decked out in Chinese designs, both the Jeep and 300C are tastefully done. Now if only we could get our hands on either one of them here in the States….
