We just stumbled upon a pretty fishy eBay listing that says the product in the photo is a 2015 Camaro headlight, but it clearly isn’t, as the 2015 Camaro still has the half-circle LED running lights around the projector in the headlight housing.
This headlight is completely different. Taking a look at the spy photos, we could immediately tell that the shape of the headlight from this eBay listing is most likely from the new 6th generation 2016 Camaro. Although the pre-production testers that are out on the road don’t all have production-ready components, the headlights look like a match for sure.
There have also been numerous third party renderings around the internet that we’ve seen, and the headlight shape is all too similar. We also checked out the new 2nd generation Volt headlights and, while they’re both similar in shape, the headlight in the eBay listing just doesn’t match up.
One thing we are curious about, however, is the fact that these are being sold on eBay and not going back to Chevy. Unless this is a controlled leak to get people talking even more about the 6th generation Camaro? There’s even a passenger side headlight for sale here, which makes a complete pair.
Maybe we’re overthinking this, but this headlight doesn’t fit into any vehicle currently in Chevrolet’s lineup, not even the current Camaro, and these definitely aren’t some gaudy third-party halo headlights either. The “Camaro” engraving on the lens also tells us that this is a legit headlight. While this is all we have seen of the new Camaro, besides the entire car covered in camouflage, we’ll just patiently wait to see what the car will look like as a whole.
