Pozzi is no stranger to the autocross circuit. Meeting her husband, long-time racer David Pozzi, at an autocross school, Mary Pozzi can hold her own and then some on any autocross course you throw her way. But what’s even more impressive than Pozzi’s driving abilities is her knowledge and skill set for putting champion autocross cars together.

Built up for the purpose of competing in autocross events, Pozzi’s ‘73 Camaro is one impressive machine. For smooth power and reliability, the car features a 402 stroker LS2 engine matted to a T-56 Magnum transmission. Moving the power to the rear wheels is a Currie Ford 9-inch rearend with 3.89:1 gears.

Upgraded brakes, a coilover suspension system with triple adjustable shocks from RideTech, Detroit Speed Engineering sub frame connectors, Hotchkis G-braces as well as other Hotchkis components, and a few touches from Global West make Pozzi’s Camaro the corner-carving muscle car we all know and love.

 Pozzi’s knowledge and dedication to building her Camaro have gotten her far and continue to benefit not only her but others in the industry as well. Between Pozzi and her husband, they’ve helped a number of racers hone in their vehicles for competition. Pozzi’s skills in doing so even led to her own car’s inclusion in the newest Grand Turismo racing game, inspiring a look-alike vehicle that can be chosen by gamers to compete with on virtual courses.
