How exactly does one improve upon a car like Chrysler’s SRT Viper? With a 640 horsepower cutting-edge V10 engine, a super-slippery, racing-inspired body, and a racing pedigree dating back two decades, the new Viper is a car you have to work very hard to improve upon. But that doesn’t stop shops from trying, and often succeeding.

Vivid Racing released this teaser video of their version of the new Viper, laced with lots of lightweight carbon Viper that make an already svelte supercar even skinnier.

The lightest Viper you can get from the factory weighs in at 3,297 lbs, which is pretty much on par with other sports cars in its competitive bracket. Vivid Racing decided to put the Viper on a carbon fiber diet, including a single-weave hood piece, a new front lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and tail light surround. The carbon fiber comes from Seibon, though it isn’t the only modification made to this mad Viper.

Vivid Racing also went ahead and added some new wheels from Niche, with 20-inch rims up front and even bigger 21-inch rims out back. Under the hood the modifications are fairly minimal, with Agency Power contributing a Cold Air Intake and a complete header-back exhaust system. This lighter snake looks ready to pounce, and we can’t wait for more carbon fiber parts for the Viper to start showing up.
