Just as we arrive at the SEMA show a new video hits the web put out by the Blue Oval. On the surface, this video appears to just be a few Ford executives reminiscing about the company’s storied and current racing efforts. Racing has always been integral to Ford, since the days before Henry Ford even founded the company, the name Ford has been involved with racing.
We’ve been following the rumors about the next big SVT project, rumored to be the all new GT350. We’ve brought you countless amounts of speculation and even videos of prototype cars testing on the track. If you hold out to the end of this video, it appears that all of the rumors are about to come to an end.
As the video progresses we begin to get glimpses of something in black and white. These are mostly obscured in shadow and few of the images offer any real details. In fact, the coil covers and grill shown look like they could be from a current Coyote engine and Mustang GT.
Rumors have circulated for the past year about the Voodoo engine said to power the next SVT Mustang. We’ve heard of everything from supercharged, and turbocharged 5.0s, to flat-plane crank, high RPM spinning, exotic car terrorizing engines making 550 hp naturally aspirated, in those rumors. The truth is no one but Ford is certain about what’s under the hood of this car.
Two weeks from now we should have all the answers. This video is one of five, that will undoubtedly lead up to the reveal on 11/17/14. Notice the font for the date at the bottom of that image is the same as the GT350 badge we showed you a few months back? We’ll be bringing you full details as soon as Ford release more details.
