The world is full of cookie-cutter things; be it fashion, houses, cars, whatever. And the while, these things are accepted in our culture like baseball and apple pie, they far from satisfy those enthusiasts looking to do things their own way- a way without definitions.
When we first saw this custom ‘57 Chevy Task Force 3100 Stepside, owned by Adam’s Rotor’s front man Adam Woodhams, on Stance Works, we knew it had been created with this no-definitions attitude. From the flat red paint to the casino-inspired interior, this truck is one-of-a-kind and then some. Lucky for hot rod and Kustom Kulture enthusiasts everywhere, this gorgeously executed custom is now up for sale in a rare opportunity to buy the feature truck on eBay.
It’s not every day that you find a feature vehicle up for sale and this truck certainly has all the criteria. Nosed, shaved and slammed, the truck features a sleek look with exquisite body lines that pop under the flat red paint. Accents in gloss white pay homage to the best of Kustom Kulture while the freshly done tongue and grove lifted bed made to resemble a saloon bar top bring an even more unique feel to the truck.
This certainly isn't your run-of-the-mill interior, even for a custom, but its unique appeal brings even more spark to this one-of-a-kind pickup.
Powering the custom is a 70s Chevy 454 big block complete with large camshaft, headers, Holley 4-barrel carburetor with intake, and a small glass pack turn down exhaust.
The engine is matted to a freshly flushed and sealed Turbo 400 3-speed transmission out of a 70s truck that pushes the engine’s power to the low-mile Camaro 12-bolt Posi-traction rearend with 4.11 gears. Although it sounds like a monster, this truck was used as Woodhams’ daily driver.
With an aesthetic design and plenty of power, the truck sits atop a mono-leaf suspension system with mor-drop 6-inch stretched front axle, c-notched rear frame, extended rear shackles and repositioned shocks on all four corners. Working with the suspension is the rebuilt original steering box and new disc brakes.
Building this truck bed was no easy task with true tongue and groove construction and a finish to resemble a bar top in an old saloon.
Woodhams’ truck is a truly magnificent piece of custom work with a substantial list of modifications and we think anyone would be honored to own such an amazing vehicle. So here’s your chance. The eBay lot runs through August 17th with the highest bid reaching just over $14k currently. This is definitely not some low-ball truck, however, so we expect to see it go for well over that.
