Pistol Pete of Hit and Run Drift Club, based out of Sydney, Australia is stirring up quite the commotion in the drift world with his L98-equipped Nissan S15 Silvia – a car almost too beautiful to drift.
For our readers out there not all that fluent in imports, the Nissan S15 Silvia is the iconic “third gen” 240SX that we never got in the states, or in other words, another Japanese forbidden fruit. Pistol Pete’s S15 Silvia is garnished with a full Vertex Ridge aero kit, Concave Concept wheels, a mean 6.0L L98 under the hood producing 465 RWHP, and a handful of other goodies to help the car handle as well as it does.
Besides the awesome sound of the L98 powerplant, one consistent aspect of the video that we loved was Pistol Pete’s ability to hold as much angle as he did throughout the whole track – the guy is a monster! However, there was one little slip up when he went a little too wide and clipped one of the portable breakaway barriers at the edge of the grass, leaving his rear bumper mangled. We don’t think he’s too worried about the rear bumper, because after all, it is a purpose built drift car and those type of things do happen.
With the performance given in the video, we have to give Pistol Pete massive kudos for drifting such a beautiful car and using it to its full potential, because there’s nothing better than seeing a show-worthy car get down and dirty in battle.
