We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – we love wagons! Whether it’s an early or late model long-roof, there’s just something about the body style that gets our wheels turning.
Before the sleeper CTS-V wagon in this video makes a pass, a quick look into the engine bay shows us that it still looks pretty stock, but it most definitely isn’t. Redline Motorsports hooked the car up with their Stage 3 package which includes a new crank balancer, supercharger pulley, long-tube headers, and a Redline-spec camshaft. The result is a healthy 650 horsepower to the rear tires.
As the car was sitting with its hood popped in the beginning of the video, we couldn’t help but notice that the owner had drag radials on the back – you can see the car really squat upon launch. Those radials definitely had a big part in the car achieving a 10.90 quarter-mile run. The trap speed was remarkable as well at 128 MPH. We don’t know what the owner’s plan with the car is, but we know that there’s a lot more in it as far as power goes. LSAs are no joke! The bright green supercharger lid and brake calipers are also nice accent touches to the car.
It’s also refreshing to see a CTS-V wagon running the quarter mile opposed to the sedan or coupe body style – there were considerably less wagons sold than any other CTS-V model. Hopefully the owner is going to further upgrade the car because we love fast wagons. What’s better than a supercharged V8 wagon that you can throw car seats, a stroller, and groceries into and still take it to the track to blow every other car out of the water?
