ACCEL’s latest challenge to gearheads is simple: Find the next great performance idea. All you have to do is fill out the ACCEL Performance Group’s form where you describe what the idea is, or include photos and drawings of the prototype.

The program is being called, “Wrench to Riches.” Applicants that spark the interest of the company will be invited to display and discus the idea to ACCEL Performance Group representatives at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

This is an opportunity for a garage engineer to partner with a company that is an industry leader that can provide support beyond anything that a backyard engineer could hope to achieve alone.

The distribution lines, sourcing, manufacturing, professional experts in marketing and PR, along with a legal support that is top notch, is something that every home inventor dreams of, and now these dreams can be true.

The performance idea must be in ignition, fuel delivery or accessory categories for acceptance. All you need to have is a simple sketch and explanation of the idea to submit. Of course, fully designed, tested, packaged and ready for production prototypes are also acceptable. The goal here is to find a product that appeals to a large group of potential customers.

Once selected, the person submitting the idea will be invited to participate in Accel Performance Group’s product fair in Las Vegas during the week of the SEMA tradeshow. You will have the chance to pitch your idea to Accel’s engineering, product and marketing team.

There is no deadline for submissions; the ACCEL Product Fair will take place during the week of November 4, 2014. ACCEL will follow up within 14 days of receiving your documents.
