Now days a lot of established companies are trying to give back to the community and people that are in need. There are many foundations that need help and these companies are stepping up to get things done. When it comes to the world of automobiles there is great interest in buying, selling and rebuilding cars for a good cause.
We bumped into a story over on Forgeline.com were they teamed up with some other companies to make an awesome mustang in hopes to help a few charities in need. Forgeline wheels are known for there light weight forged wheels that are used from street cars to all our race cars.
Forgeline teamed up with SEMA Cares and WD-40 for the second year in a row to create an awesome Mustang 5.0. The Mustang starts with an already powerful 5.0 V8 engine. A Paxton supercharger was added to boost the Mustangs power to over 600 horsepower. The Mustang was equipped with a lot of different aftermarket exterior body parts including front fascia, side skirts, rear valance, 3-piece rear wing, window ducts, side ducts, upper and lower grilles. If this didn’t make it jump out at you the bright yellow paint job was sure to catch your attention.
With many more modification to the interiors, stereo and exhaust system, the car was sent off to be showcased at this year’s ever so popular SEMA car show. After a great turn out at the SEMA show the Mustang 5.0 was then off to Scottsdale Arizona for the Barrett Jackson auto auction to be auctioned off giving all proceeds to a foundation called Childhelp. After the Mustang was auctioned off, it generated $220,000 to help the children of the Childhelp charity. This shows how a few good ideas and a sweet car can save lives.
