You Could Win Two One-Of-A-Kind Shelby GT350Xs!

It certainly would be a dream to own a Shelby GT350 from every era. However, the idea of winning two “experimental” Shelby GT350s is truly the stuff of fantasy. And, thanks to Dream Giveaway, the wish of owning a 670-horsepower, Classic Recreations 1965 Shelby Mustang G.T. 350X and an 875-horsepower, Steeda Autosports  2017 Shelby GT350X could come true with the purchase of a $3 ticket.

In the case of the classic Shelby, the winner will become the owner of the first retail classic 1965 Shelby GT350CR. These all-new Mustangs are built over the course of 2,000 hours and they feature high-performance suspensions and drivelines, including supercharged Coyotes from Ford Performance. They are even included in the Shelby Worldwide Registry and this 1965 Shelby Mustang G.T. 350X’s serial number includes an X so its one-of-one authenticity can be proven.

Dream Giveaway is raffling off two special Shelbys — a Classic Recreations 1965 Shelby G.T. 350X and a Steeda Autosports 2017 Shelby GT350X.

As for the 2017 Shelby GT350X, it is based on the latest Ford Performance machine, but it was completely worked over by the experts at Steeda Autosports to create another unique vehicle.

“This GT350X is the only the only Shelby GT350X in the entire world,” Christopher Phillip, Director of Communication at Dream Giveaway, said.

Its headlining mod is a Whipple Superchargers GT350X system that pushes its flywheel output to 875 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque on 93-octane fuel on only 9 pounds of boost.

“We got involved with Dream Giveaway when Mark Breiner, the CEO, contacted us inquiring about taking the GT350 to even a higher performance level then what it comes from the factory,” Glen Vitale, Vice President of Operations at Steeda Autosports, explained. “At that point we knew we already had some parts that would make his request possible but once we learned that there was a foster children charity program that would get some of the proceeds it was a no-brainer to get involved.”

Naturally the 2017 GT350X is adorned with a generous helping of X badging. And, since Steeda is involved, it obviously has the company’s full complement of suspension upgrades (see sidebar).

For as little as $3 you could win two one-of-a-kind Shelby GT350X Mustangs putting out 670 and 875 horsepower, respectively.

“…Mark wanted to take this car to the next level in terms of performance, which is a tall order for such a great platform to begin with. We knew going into this that the car would be going to a lucky person who’s skill level maybe only equivalent to driving to and from work every day,” Glen elaborated. “So we wanted to make sure we could harness the extra horsepower and torque that the Whipple would be supplying in addition to keeping the car worthy of any race track it may go to. So, our engineering team carefully chose parts that allow this car to have great drivability on the street but yet still perform well on the track.”

Of course, that meant connecting all the performance with the pavement.

“It came clear to us during the build that we still needed to make sure that our suspension was complemented equally with traction and that is where Nitto came in and helped us with a tire that would work well with our suspension tuning,” he added. “Bottom line, we wanted a car that would be comfortable on both road and track with a performance level a couple notches above from stock.”

The winner of the 1965 G.T. 350X will own the first retail GT350 from Classic Recreations. Dream Giveaway partnered with Nitto Tire and Steeda Autosports to create this special, Whipple-supercharged Shelby GT350X.
