You may have heard about the Optima Batteries Ultimate Street Car Challenge which invites the most interesting cars from the SEMA show every year–along with other top built Pro Touring Cars from around the country–to battle it out head-to-head with lots of magazine and television coverage. But did you know there are also events for us regular guys and gals to test out our cars in this kind of competition?
The Ultimate Street Car Association is a sanctioning body formed to create safe, fun and high profile national automotive events for street-legal performance vehicles. This year they are holding 10 events across the country and they say they have opportunities for drivers of all skill levels to compete. The next USCA event is at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Ill., July 19 & 20. Spectators are also welcome, so if you are in the area, we recommend checking it out!
