'69 Ford Torino 428 Cobra Found Sitting In Barn After 23 Years

If you needed another reminder that barn finds still exist today, take for example this incredible ’69 Ford Torino that is being offered up on eBay. Found tucked away under a tarp and in the corner of a barn, finding this Torino had to be a dream come true for one lucky car guy.

Under that tarp wasn’t just any run-of-the-mill Torino, no it was a legit ’69 Ford Torino Cobra that still houses the original 428 Cobra Jet mill. According to the listing on eBay this Cobra has been sitting tucked away in the original owner’s red barn for the past 23 years and sits with only 46,600 original miles.

According to the extensive Marti Report that accompanies this vehicle, the Torino left the factory on January 20th, 1969 covered in a fresh coat of Dresden Blue Paint. And surprisingly, it also was pretty well optioned out. It left the Lorain factory equipped with factory power front disc brakes, power steering, color keyed racing mirrors, traction-lok differential and is 1 of only 29 Torino Cobras built with this paint and trim codes.

Amazingly the owners claim that the Torino has no rust. Or as they put in the listing: “IT HAS NO RUST!!!” The car was originally tucked away back in 1991 (let that sink in for a second… 1991 was over 23 years ago) because the brakes failed, and time just got away from the owner.

So, sure it’s rare, and its clear from the photos that its missing a few parts that could set you back. But what is this amazing find worth today?
