There are many heinous crimes far worse than auto theft. But for anybody who has ever poured their heart, soul, and finances into a vehicle, having it stolen can be a truly heart-wrenching experience. Because a car becomes more than just a means of getting around; it becomes a vessel for our memories and pride. Cars are stolen every day, but stealing a race car is a daunting task that often falls on the community more than the police.

That is why we are spreading the word of a 1987 Buick Turbo T stolen, along with its flatbed, from New Jersey. The original post appeared on the Yellow Bullet forums, and there is a $5,000 award leading to the recovery of the vehicles and arrest of the thieves.

According to the post, the Buick and flatbed were in the armpit of America, New Jersey, racing at Englishtown drag strip chasing a 9-second run. Between 6 and 6:30 pm on November 27th, the 1995 Ford LTD flatbed and Buick race car, were stolen. The LTD flatbed had a white cab, and the Buick was white with black racing seats and was missing the left rear white filler between the bumper and taillight.

This car could be just about anywhere by now, and police are already stretched thin, so it is up to us fellow auto enthusiasts to keep an eye out.
