Getting cool, fresh air into your engine is one of the quickest and easiest modifications you can make to any vehicle, even a pickup truck. Dollar for dollar, it is also one of the cheapest ways to add power too. And since nobody knows air filters like K&N, it makes sense to check out their various vehicular offerings whenever you’re looking for a power upgrade.
The latest product from K&N is the 77-Series High-Flow intake, a new cold air intake system dyno proven to add up to 10 horsepower on the 2011-12 Ford F-150.
This polished cold air intake is designed to increase air flow by removing restrictions within the stock intake system. Built for 2011-2012 Ford F-150 equipped with the 5.0 liter V8, this new intake system increases power and acceleration. Unfortunately, it is not street legal in California or other states that have adopted California’s strict air standards.
Sucks for them. For the rest of us though, the K&N 77-Series air intake can add a dyno-proven 10 horsepower at the wheels. Not only that, but as the above video demonstrations, the K&N air intake adds a s a deep, healthy growl to your pickup. If your Ford F-150 needs an affordable power increase, K&N is a good place to start.
