Celebrating 40 years of innovation in the way of racing-grade clutches, flywheels, discs, and every other imaginable component, is quite a feat. Considering the evolution of performance in that near half century, the masterminds at McLeod have answered the clarion call for late model Mopar clutches. Surprisingly enough, while fabricating a high performance clutch for the special ProCharger-boosted Hurst-Edition Challengers, the engineers discovered the finger-height was identical to that used by the high-performance Viper clutch they were actively producing.
Using the same twin-disc assembly for both applications, McLeod offers two tiers of performance, the RST and RXT. The RXT series is designed to handle street applications pumping out 1,000 horsepower, while the RST is built to withstand a slightly more conservative 800 ponies. The RXT pack uses a metallic-facing front and back disc for better bite. Meanwhile, both grades feature quick-action pressure plate springs that allow for quick shifts with a stock pedal feel. And best of all, both packs bolt directly to the stock flywheel!
Both the RXT and RST pack assemblies are composed of a pressure plate, two friction discs (RST has two organic discs while the RXT uses ceramic discs), a floater disc, a flywheel adaption plate, and an alignment tool.
- RXT series handles up to 1000 horsepower
- RST series handles up to 800 horsepower
- Applicable for all manual Challenger and Viper models
- Stock pedal feel with hard core shifting action
