We think it is a safe assumption to say that most car enthusiasts aren’t huge fans of professional tennis. Tennis is definitely more of a “white collar” sport, lacking the bonecrushing brutality of football or the nostalgia of baseball. Yet even if you’ve never watched a professional tennis match in your life, chances are you’ve heard of the tennis star Andre Agassi.
Agassi, who retired from tennis in 2006, is widely regarded as one of the best players of all time. As it turns out, the Las Vegas native also has very good taste when it comes to what he keeps in his garage. Up on eBay is a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon which has had its paltry V6 engine replaced by a growling HEMI V8…and it can be yours if the price is right.
While Agassi may not have the same star power as say, Burt Reynolds, on its own this HEMI-powered Wrangler is well worth a look. The 6.1 liter HEMI V8 offers more than 400 horsepower and 400 ft-lbs of torque, and coupled with some serious off-roading upgrades like a LNG suspension system, 35-inch wheels, and a sturdy winch, this Wrangler is ready to take to the trails.
It seems as though Agassi enjoyed a bit of off-roading in his off-time, and the Wrangler is still titled in his name. With over $80,000 in documented modifications, you can be sure that this trail-rated-and-modified Wrangler won’t go cheap. With just 13,000 miles on it, it’s barely even broken in! Bidding is already up to $36,000 as of this writing…but will it meet its reserve price and sell in the next 24 hours? Check back tomorrow…
