The restomod craze of taking classic American muscle cars, and modernizing them with contemporary engines, drivetrains, and suspensions, shows no signs of slowing down. Naturally, the Ford Mustang remains one of the most popular restomod candidates on the market, delivering a familiar platform with an endless combination of performance possibilities.

The RestoMod Store out of Independence, Missouri, a suburb of Kansas City, was responsible for this incredible 1967 Mustang restomod. Packing a supercharged Coyote 5.0 engine, a Heidts suspension setup, and a no-expense-spared “Snakeskin” paintjob, this stunning Mustang has us green with envy.

The project began with a relatively clean ‘67 Mustang shell, and you can see all the work-in-progress pics on the RestoMod Store’s Facebook page. Everything about this Mustang was custom made, from the all-metal hood and custom chin spoiler to the smoothed and shaved body lines, giving it a sleek, almost snake-like look.

Those classic looks are meshed with modern performance components, including a Heidts independent rear suspension. Indeed, the Snakeskin Green Mustang very nearly slithers along the road, and the supercharged 5.0 engine is probably good for at least 500 wheel horsepower. There’s no doubt that this is a restomod Mustang done so, so right.
