At the 2024 PRI Show, World Products announced exciting new products for engine builders and racers: the Motown III engine block and Profiler 100 cylinder heads. These additions promise huge performance enhancements that cater to the needs of racers and high-performance car enthusiasts. The Motown III engine block builds upon the foundation of its predecessor, the Motown II, with key improvements designed for increased power handling and adaptation to modern racing trends. “So it’s now Motown III instead of Motown II,” Jack McInnis confirmed.
Another important enhancement is the thicker deck, which serves a dual purpose. As explained by McInnis, “The thicker deck is for two reasons, really. It helps the power adder stuff, obviously. Also in the circle track world, the current trend is to cut the decks down lower for a shorter deck height.”
The Motown III engine block also offers several other features geared toward performance and compatibility. It accommodates both traditional small-block cams or the newer step-nose style camshafts, providing engine builders with versatile options. The block features four-bolt mains, available with either cast caps and main bolts, or billet caps and main studs, with either fastener option being high-strength ARP fasteners.
World Products also announced its exclusive distributorship of new profiler heads. These 20-degree heads are CNC machined with copper seats and deliver impressive flow numbers. “Peak flow at one inch of lift is 515 cfm on the intake. And then on the exhaust, 320 cfm at .900 inch of lift, and 330 cfm at one inch. It’s massive.” McInnis stated. With a 438cc runner and these remarkable flow characteristics, these profile heads clearly offer huge power potential.
But despite their high-performance design and overall quality, the new profiler heads are very competitively priced, making them an attractive option for builders seeking top-tier performance on a reasonable budget.
